A groundwater model is a tool designed in representing a simplified version of the real groundwater system related to the field condition occur in the area of investigation. It is an approximation that simulates the input/output stresses and response relations of the system
Our team has the experience to apply various methods to help clients understand the scale of their groundwater issues and inherent risks associated with uncertainty. Our capabilities include:
- Development of sound conceptual hydrogeological models by hydrogeologist;
- Application of proven analytical techniques to estimate specific components of the groundwater water budget
- Estimation of aquifer (and well) parameters from the analysis of test pumping data;
- Construction, calibration, sensitivity testing, verification and uncertainty analysis for either regional or site-based numerical models;
- Steady-state or transient modelling with all industry-standard codes including MODFLOW and SWAT
- Contaminant transport modelling;
- Assessment of inflows to mines, tunnels and basement excavations; and
- Groundwater impact assessment of any projects
